Elektron - MKII - Industrial design (2018)
Designed by OP.™ for ElektronElektron is one of the most renowned and possibly best synthesizer brands in the world. The popular and admired Analog Four (2012) and Analog Rytm (2014) needed a component update which resulted in the MKII series. The brief was to make it more ergonomic by adding a slight angle to the product.The design was created as a platform where the top part of the product could be exchanged for different models. The boxy look of the product was kept by creating a surface transition on the bottom. This allowed for a natural grip all while giving space for interconnection of multiple products.
